How to use it

Scrape a thumbnail's worth out and melt it flat between both palms.
Push it back through the beard against the grain, then smooth it with the grain.
Follow with a comb while your hands are still warm.
Mornings. On top of the oil, never instead of it.

What is in it

Ingredient	Amount	What it is doing
Beeswax	20%	The hold. Under 15% it goes floppy, over 25% it goes stiff and waxy.
Grass-fed tallow	25%	Close to skin lipids. It is what makes a balm feel like skin food rather than candle wax.
Shea butter, raw unrefined	25%	Softness and slip.
Jojoba	15%	Keeps it spreadable at hand temperature.
Sweet almond	12%	Thins the melt so it goes on evenly.
Vitamin E (tocopherol)	1%	Antioxidant.
Fragrance blend	2%	Release 001.

Melt the wax and butters together, hold at about 70°C, take it off the heat before the fragrance goes in, pour at about 55°C. Pouring hot is what gives you the grainy shea texture people complain about.

Cosmetic product. It softens and conditions hair and the skin beneath it. It will not make your beard grow, and anyone who tells you their oil does is lying to you. Patch test on the inside of your elbow first if you have reacted to a grooming product before.
